“The fact that children can make beautiful music is less significant than the fact that music can make beautiful children.”
Cheryl Lavender (music educator)

I believe every student is capable of success. Each child is valuable and deserves instruction that meets their unique needs in a safe, welcoming environment — one that honors diverse backgrounds, learning styles, and abilities. I am committed to celebrating student differences as well as their achievements.

As an educator, I strive to be professional, knowledgeable, positive, patient, compassionate, honest, and dependable every day. I believe education is a vital profession, and that both teachers and students should be held to high standards. In my classroom, students build skills they can apply to the real world — supporting their growth as individuals and as thoughtful, capable members of society.
